Welcome to Egypt, where history comes alive. This full-day excursion to Luxor invites you to explore the heart of ancient civilization and discover some of the most extraordinary monuments ever built.
Your journey begins early in the morning with a comfortable pickup from your hotel at around 4:00 AM in a modern, air-conditioned van with a small group of up to eight guests. After a scenic sunrise drive through the desert, you will meet your professional Egyptologist guide in Luxor and begin your guided exploration.
The tour starts at the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site in ancient Egypt. Walk through the impressive Hypostyle Hall, surrounded by towering columns, and learn about the powerful pharaohs who contributed to this vast sacred city over centuries.
Next, visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of more than 60 New Kingdom pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Your guide will explain the symbolism, rituals, and secrets behind the royal tombs. Please note that entry to certain tombs requires an additional ticket.
The journey continues to the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a unique architectural masterpiece built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Dedicated to one of Egypt’s most powerful female rulers, this temple stands as a symbol of strength, ambition, and innovation.
You will also stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues that once guarded the entrance to the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. These iconic monuments have stood watch over the Theban landscape for thousands of years.
During the tour, enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant. Optional activities include a visit to an alabaster workshop, a short shopping break, or a relaxing Nile boat trip (available at an extra cost).
After a full day of history and discovery, you will begin the return journey to Hurghada, arriving at your hotel in the evening with unforgettable memories of ancient Luxor.
